One of the best things to do in St. Augustine, Florida is stroll
the Bridge of Lions and visit the St. Augustine lions named Fiel y Firme, or Spanish for Faithful and Firm. The beautiful lion statues are the icons of the
Old City and the most photographed attraction.

Hi and welcome to my website.
I'm Gail Kraker, and after searching for replicas of the
lions on the bridge for a year without finding
anything, I decided to bring them to our beloved city.
Now you can have little marble replicas of
Faithful & Firm in your very own home.

Why These Little Lions will Capture Your Heart

Because they're the first and only marble replicas of the St. Augustine
lions on the Bridge of Lions, named Faithful & Firm

Because their charming size will grace your mantel,

coffee table, desk or bookshelf.

Because they resemble the lions on the bridge in every way,
down to the inscription lightly imprinted along their sides.

Because they're hand cast then hand sculpted by Old World
artisans using age-old secret methods
to give you eye-catching decor.

Imagine your little lions being as beautiful decades from
now as the day they arrive at your door.

The lions are made of marble from Carrara, Italy - the same marble the lions on the bridge are made of. Michelangelo used Carrara marble for many of his masterpieces, including the Pieta and Statue of David.

Each lion is 5.75" L x 3" W x 5.5" H with the solid weight of over 2.5 lbs each.

We have a special arrangement with the artisans to use only their finest quality pure white Carrara Marble.
This quality is usually reserved
for government projects only.

You will find that most statuettes today are made with resin or a composition of resin and some other material. This is why they yellow with age and exposure to daylight.

The St. Augustine lion statuettes are special in every way. They are made of 90% genuine Carrara marble, the same marble the originals on the bridge boast of. They contain zero resin, plastic or other inexpensive binders. The lions are crafted by Old World artisans using a decades-old method with high quality materials. Your lions will retain their majestic white marble look and feel to be cherished for generations.

The replicas are made by artisans in Staffordshire, England who practice a difficult and dying art of hand-casting and hand-sculpting. They supply life size statues and small statuettes, like these lions, to governments and some of the most prestigious European galleries and art museums.

It is no wonder then that each set of lions is hand-cast with utmost attention to detail.

Old World artisans in Staffordshire, England, make the  St. Augustine Lion replicas in small batches using the
finest Italian Carrara marble.

Thank you for visiting my website. My name is Gail Kraker. I moved to St. Augustine in 2011 with my hubby, Jeff, and our three coconut retrievers.

Like many others, I fell in love with the lions on the bridge. Where else in the New World do we see century old, hand sculpted Carrara marble statues of anything, much less beautiful lions?

I spent a year searching for small replicas of the lions for our home and got only disappointment.

After three more years of wondering why and thinking people who love St. Augustine deserve better, I decided to take matters into my own hands.

I made it my mission to bring the first and only marble replicas of the lions on the bridge, Faithful & Firm, to all who want replicas of the city’s icons in their own homes.

I hope you’ll love the little lions as much as I do. They bring joy to our home and they've become almost human to me.

These care instructions are from the Old World makers of the little lion replicas:

No special care is needed, you can dust or clean as any other ornamental household object, they are very robust.

If they get very dirty, you can wash in warm soapy water.

If you get a bad mark that will not remove with soapy water you can use a very fine abrasive paper to wipe it gently away.

If you polish them, they’ll gradually generate their own patina with a slight sheen. Please don’t use any polish or anything on the cloth. All that’s needed is a soft, dry cloth. The harder or more often you polish them, the more they will sheen, just as natural marble does. (Not recommended if you like the way the marble sparkles in sunlight - this will give a sheen in place of the sparkles.)
